Marshall & Ogletree – Opus 19
Installed in the Cathedral between 2024–2025, the new state-of-the-art Opus 19 organ by world-renowned builders Marshall & Ogletree is a true marvel. With four keyboard manuals, seven divisions, and over 175 digital ranks, this instrument fills the Cathedral with rich, immersive sound through dozens of speakers thoughtfully integrated into the walls, ceiling, and behind the stunning pipe façade.
The organ will be officially dedicated on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at 4:00 PM, featuring a special performance by acclaimed organist Erik Meyer from the Cathedral of Philadelphia. This dedication marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for St. Stephen’s as a welcoming venue for music, performance, and community gatherings.
Baldwin SD-10
Among its treasured instruments, the Cathedral is honored to house a 9-foot Baldwin SD-10 concert grand piano, built in 1980 during the height of Baldwin’s international acclaim. Entirely handcrafted in the United States, the SD-10 is esteemed by pianists for its clear, warm tone and recognized by collectors as a landmark in American piano-making tradition. Following a complete restoration, this distinguished instrument found its home at the Cathedral in the fall of 2023.
